"Did you ever notice how men always leave the toilet seat up? ... That's the joke."
McBain: Let's Get Silly
This is a handmade VHS replica of McBain: Let's Get Silly, the fictional movie from The Simpsons. It's the film that Rainier Wolfcastle promotes on Jay Sherman's show Coming Attractions in the classic episode A Star is Burns (S06E18). After several action-packed McBain movies, this sequel just features McBain standing in front of a brick wall for 90 minutes while delivering stale jokes and Woody Allen impressions. It somehow cost $80 million.
This box and the labels were designed to be identical to a real life VHS release for an actual movie, including a full plot description. The box also includes tons of hidden references to the show. The credits, the studio logo, even the FBI warning all tie back to Simpsons jokes. It's the perfect gift for a Simpsons fan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's actually on the tape?
A: It's a mystery! The tapes are all repurposed VHS, so there could be anything on there. It could be a copy of Last Action Hero ("Magic ticket, my ass!"), a comedy special from Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, or even random episodes of Days of Our Lives that someone taped off TV in 1991. You won't know until you pop it into a VCR.
Q: Do you ship to my country?
A: Yes! We offer shipping worldwide. For orders outside the US, I have tried to make it affordable as possible, but shipping is more cost effective with larger orders.
Q: How long does it take to ship?
A: Shipping is through USPS Priority Mail. Tapes are typically shipped within 2-3 days of placing your order. In the US, priority mail typically takes 1-3 business days to arrive. Outside the US, delivery time varies considerably. You should receive an email with tracking information when your order is shipped.
Q: How do you sleep at night?
A: On top of a pile of money with many beautiful ladies.
